I am a huge fan of functional strength. In my profession I've seen so many trainers doing so many things, good and bad. The ones that I am most impressed with are the ones that incorporate a more functional side of training.

The Body Biomechanics dude just to the left of this article is your pathway to strengthening, toning and maintaining muscle tissue so that full functionality of the body can live.

Within this section I am going to feature facilities such as Athletes Performance which is all about movement prep and Functional Movement Screens (FMS) and Functional Training.

Todd Derkin is another that I am a big fan of Fitness Quest 10, is his facility.

I love bands, TRX Suspension Training Systems, Kettle Bells and functional strengthening with ones body weight.

I am also a huge fan of the Trigger Point Performance Therapy products, these products allow an athlete to maintain healthy muscle tissue and the products are much better than a foam roller. They have specific products for specific areas of the body.
